Ordering your bridesmaid dresses online is so easy. For my wedding, no one had an issue, well except one who didn't like the dress and had it altered. But everyone got their dresses, sizes were accurate and everyone looked beautiful. Ordering online worked out great especially for those bridesmaids in other states. Here are some basic tips and ideas for ordering your bridesmaid dresses online.
Choose a reliable online store with a consistent inventory.
As your bridesmaids order their dresses, you don't want the store to run out of the style or size. I used Newport News for my bridesmaid dresses. Other discount online shops I would recommend are:

To keep prices low for my bridesmaids, many of whom have children and tight budgets, I chose a regular evening or cocktail dress instead of typical bridesmaid gowns. The dress, around $60, was cheap in comparison to bridesmaid dresses. Search regular women's retailers for affordable alternatives to standard bridesmaid dresses.
Tip: Consider a bridesmaid dress that can be worn on other occasions such as a holiday party or semi-formal dinner. I had a couple bridesmaid mention they wore the dress again after the wedding. In these economic times, I’d say that’s a good deal!

Provide a picture (or description) and item number – your bridesmaids can verify they have the correct dress before ordering.
Sizing information - Most online stores provide detailed sizing information. I included Speigel's sizing chart with the instructions.
Give them a deadline - To avoid running out of a size, let the ladies know to order asap or else!
Coupons! - many online stores offer coupons and discounts if you do a little digging. Once you've picked out a bridesmaid dress, google the store's name with the words "coupon code" or "discount". You'll more than likely find a discount of 10%-25% and free shipping. The coupon code will also be a good incentive for your bridesmaid to order quickly.
Print the instructions on cute stationary. Add them with cards, asking each girl to be a bridesmaid and giving the reason why. You could also create an online version to have handy for any forgetful bridesmaids.
Anticipate their last minute questions and requests. Even though you are the bride, don’t be surprised if you are inundated with all sorts of crazy questions and requests.
